Do I need to be home while my floor is being fitted?

No, you don’t need to be home during the installation. For your convenience, we offer a secure key drop system at our showroom, allowing our fitting team access while you go about your day. This means you can return home to a beautifully finished floor – without any disruption.

What’s the difference between Karndean and Amtico?

Karndean and Amtico are both high-quality luxury vinyl flooring brands. Karndean often has a more traditional, textured look and is usually more budget-friendly. Amtico offers a sleek, modern finish and is known for its extra durability, especially in commercial spaces. Both are great choices — it depends on your style and needs.

Do I Need to Clear the Room?

If you're able to clear the room in advance, that would be appreciated, as it allows our installation team to start right away. However, if there are large or difficult items to move, we're happy to assist.

Why might my carpet and flooring fitting be scheduled over multiple days?

Our in-house fitters specialise in different areas — some focus on flooring, while others are experts in carpet. If your order includes both, the fitting may be spread out over a full day or across multiple days to ensure each part is completed by the right specialist to the highest standard.

Do you offer door Trimming?

Many of the independent fitters we work with can trim doors if needed; however, for safety reasons, they’re unable to carry out this service on fire doors. If you’re concerned that your new carpet may affect your current doors, please speak to a member of our in-store team so we can offer the right advice.

Are your fitters in-house or outsourced?

All of our fitters are in-house, meaning they work directly for us. This ensures consistent quality, reliable service, and specialist installation from start to finish.

Do I Need to Remove My Current Flooring or Carpet?

You're welcome to remove your existing flooring or carpet if you prefer. If not, we're happy to handle the removal and disposal for you. Please note: there's an additional charge for this service, which varies based on the size and type of flooring. We don't profit from this—it's simply to cover labour and disposal costs.

Can I measure the space myself, or do you offer a measuring service?

Yes, we offer a free measuring service and always recommend using it to ensure everything is accurate. However, if you'd like to get started sooner, you're more than welcome to take your own measurements — we can use those to begin the process. Why should I invest in good underlay?

Why should I invest in good underlay? A good underlay improves comfort, extends the life of your carpet or flooring, and enhances insulation and soundproofing. It also helps flooring wear more evenly and provides better support underfoot — making your space feel warmer, quieter, and more comfortable overall.
