How we Lay LVT Flooring
Our flooring specialists will ensure your loose lay LVT is installed correctly by first making sure the subfloor is clean, dry, smooth, and level for the best possible finish. The flooring will be acclimated in the room for at least 48 hours before fitting. Planks will be laid in the direction of the main light source or the longest wall to create a natural, seamless look. Each plank will be placed tightly against the next without the need for glue across most areas, as the heavy backing provides a secure grip. In high-traffic zones or around the perimeter, a pressure-sensitive adhesive will be used to add extra stability. Our team will always follow the manufacturer’s installation guidelines to deliver a professional, long-lasting result.
Caring for your LVT Flooring
To keep your luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring in top condition, it’s important to sweep regularly with a soft-bristle brush to remove dust and debris that could cause wear over time. Use felt floor protectors on furniture legs to prevent scratches, and avoid using furniture with wheels as these can damage the surface. Placing mats at entrance points helps catch dirt and moisture before it reaches your floor, but be sure to avoid rubber-backed mats as they can discolour LVT. For cleaning, we recommend using manufacturer-approved products such as Amtico and Karndean, which are specially formulated for LVT and available in-store.
